We have just returned from a weekend stay at Ashtree House, the house was exactly as described and in lovely clean condition. The kitchen is well equipped with complimentary tea, coffee and milk on arrival. Located in a quiet area with ample parking for two cars.

There are a choice of pubs/ restaurants within easy walking distance. We ate at the Faulkner, a welcoming pub with great food.
The centre of Chester is an easy 20 min walk along the canal, so no need to take the car.

Deborah's communication and information was excellent - I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Karen,

This is a very clean two-bedroom modern semi-detached property located in a small, quiet close of similar properties about a mile or so from the centre of Chester. The property has a driveway alongside which is easily big enough to park two cars. Inside are all the facilities you’d expect such as cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave toaster, bath, (with shower) TV, free wifi, washing machine as well as a few extras such as some tea, coffee, shower gel etc. In addition, if you had a bike it could be put in the back garden which has a securely locked side gate. The property is also close to the main roads and motorways out of the city making it a great base to explore the wider area. The owner, Deborah’s communication on booking was great. Overall recommended, and I'd happily return next time I'm in the area.

Paul,

We needed a place to stay at very short notice and Deborah was able to offer us all of the flexibility that we needed and was really helpful and understanding of my situation.

The house is lovely and has everything that you’d need. We had a great break here, I’d highly recommend staying here. Thanks Deborah

Tom,

Just returned from a three night stay at Ashtree House with grown up children aged 21 and 19.
The house was clean and well placed to visit Chester city, the zoo and Cheshire Oaks Shopping Outlet.
The beds were very comfortable, and the area quiet.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. It is plenty spacious for four adults, but equally would suit younger families.

Lesley Smith,

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Ashtree House. It is excellent accommodation which is clean, comfortable and fully equipped. It is in a quiet and pleasant area. Chester is easy to reach either using public transport, or on foot. It is an ideal base for sightseeing having close road and rail links to many areas.

Jean,

This is a well-presented, comfortable house, in an excellent location. Hoole has its own centre but it is also only a 20 minute walk along the canal into Chester city centre.

The house is well-equipped and every effort has been made to provide you with information on the workings of the house (emergency contacts for example) and on the surrounding area (restaurants etc), the latter being especially useful if you are new to an area. Payment was smooth and the deposit returned within days of our leaving. All in all, a very positive experience, recommended to anyone considering a stay in the area.

Sarah Burrows,

We had a lovely stay at Ashtree House. The house was warm, comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The area was lovely and quiet and it was easy to walk to Chester city centre in about 20 minutes and the station in about 15 minutes. We enjoyed exploring Hoole and its shops and restaurants and also Chester and Liverpool. Deborah was a helpful host, leaving really clear instructions about the house and being really quick at responding to our messages, thank you.

Watt Family,

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at Ashtree House. Everything there that we needed, very clean and ideally located for zoo etc and pleasant walks into Chester. Deborah is a great host and was very helpful when I had a problem with our booking(my fault) also a big thank you to Julie & team for making sure everything was perfect. would definitely recommend this property

Jacqueline Robson,

Absolutely spot on!! Me and my two young kids (4 & 6) loved it. We stayed 5 nights and it was a perfect “home from home” being able to take day trips all around the area. The park in the pictures was fantastic for the kids, only 10 minutes walk away too! The property itself was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Fantastic property and would heartily recommend.

Rob Moffatt,

We stayed at Ashtree House last week and had a wonderful time. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) and the house space was ample for our holiday stay! The addition of a locked secure yards/garden was great as we could let the children play out in the knowledge they were safe. The house was immaculately clean and after long days exploring the accommodation was very comfortable to return to.
I would highly recommend Ashtree House to anyone wanting to explore Chester and it's surrounding areas. There is also a fantastic playground (Alexandra park) only a 5 minute walk away so it's ideal for families!

Tamar,

Lovely 2 bedroom property in a very quiet area. House was well equipped, clean and tidy and central for travelling around the area. Lots of information received from Deborah with suggestions for eating out etc. Would certainly return if back in the area.

Gill ,

Great 2 bedroom house in a quiet cul de sac residential area, 20-30 minutes walk along canal into Chester. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, clean and modern. We stayed for a week and enjoyed regular walks along the canal stopping off for 'refreshments' along the way! Quite a few bars/eateries/shops in Hoole within 10 minutes walk. We were fortunate to have amazing weather and the house was nice and cool to return to. Deborah was a great communicator. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again, hopefully soon.

Amanda,

Two of us stayed at 25 Ashtree Court for 4 nights in May 2021 soon after pandemic lockdown was eased and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and well maintained and all necessary facilities are available.Deborah the owner is readily available on telephone or email. Unlike most self catering places tea and coffee sachets and even toiletries are supplied. Deborah also supplies you with loads of local information including phone nos and websites

The house is easy to get to being located just off junc 12 of M53. All important visitor sites of Chester including the Zoo and Cheshire Oaks Retail Park are within 10 minutes drive. An NCP car park at Browns Yard ( 330m walk to Eastgate) is only 5 minutes drive and a 20 minute walk takes you to a huge Waitrose. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs locally at Hoole.
It is highly recommended and we will probably book another stay there shortly

P Coorey,

immaculate house in very quiet neighbourhood, yet within easy walking distance of Hoole with its local amenities.. Pleasant walk along canal to city centre. Deborah provided clear and helpful information and was easy to contact. House is well equipped and has calm ambience.

john g.,

Lovely house. Very clean. About half an hours walk to town centre. We can highly recommend it

Naomi Coyne ,

Lovely house situated in a quiet location only a short walk from the shops and Restaurants of Hoole.
Very close to Chester, about a 10 minute drive to the Zoo.
House is clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything needed, feels like a home from home.
Appreciated all the information that Deborah sent about the house and about amenities locally.
We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Tracy H,

Deborahs house is a lovely retreat in Hoole village which has everything you need, Chester is a short walk away which if the sun is out you must do by the canal. We will book again when we next visit Chester.

Mike P,

I could not agree more with the other reviews. My husband, me and 3 years old grandson stayed here for just three nights. Not long enough. It is just as seen in the pictures. Very clean, comfortable and homely. Loads of info from Deborah as well. Lots of contact numbers if there were any problems. We would love to stay here again if we were going that way for a break. Thank you to Deborah for a lovely place to call home for a short time

Janice Simpson,

Deborah's house is very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean with parking for two cars. It is located in a very quiet and pleasant cul-de-sac with easy access to local shops and restaurants (5-10mins walk) whilst also being in walking distance to the centre of Chester and only a short drive to Chester Zoo. Deborah also provides very useful information about the house, Chester and the surrounding area in advance of your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and will certainly be in touch with Deborah next time we visit Chester or the surrounding area.

Dennis Tucker,

This was our second stay in Deborah's lovely house. Spotlessly clean and well maintained, the house is quietly located with parking for two cars and a small garden area. The house is ideally located as it is very close to Chester centre and the famous Chester Zoo is only 10 mins away in the car. It is also perfect as a base when travelling further afield, Liverpool City Centre and North Wales are both easily reached in under an hour. We will certainly return in the future.

H Ketley,

We stayed here back in mid July, and met up with family after the easing of lockdown. We came up from Oxford area, and them from Harrogate in Yorkshire. We had a lovely 4 night stay. The house is quiet, comfortable, well equipped, and very central to get to lots of places. Also there is parking for two cars, which was a big bonus for us. We hate having to find a parking space when we go away. Our other family members were so impressed, they have just stayed in the house with their son and his partner for a short break. Deborah was very communicative and helpful throughout the booking process. Recommended.

Mrs Christine M Wright,

We very much enjoyed our 6 night stay here. Good location being just a 5-10 min walk to Hoole which has a nice choice of pubs , restaurants. as well as a good choice of takeaways plus a small supermarket also in the High St. Further afield but still a very pleasant 20 minute walk you have a big Waitrose and the centre of Chester. Taxis are easy to find if you don't fancy a walk!. House itself would easily accommodate two couples, has everything you need and a very nice paved back garden to sit and have a coffee etc.
In summary ... thoroughly recommend if you are looking for an excellent base to explore the area.

David Rampling,

The house is in a lovely and quiet location. Easy walk into the city and near Chester’s beautiful canals. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy too.

Emily ,

My family and I spent a great week at Deborah's house. Great location so handy for everything. House was spotlessly clean, very quiet with adequate parking and a garden too. Only a 30 min walk along the canal into Chester.
Would thoroughly recommend it.

Nicola,

We were really pleased with Deborah’s house. It was perfect for a young family of 4 and had everything we could possibly need. It was great to find somewhere that was on a quiet street, had parking and a small garden too. The bed was really comfy and the house was spotlessly clean. Deborah was a great host, quick to respond and kept us well informed. She gave us lots of ideas for child friendly days out in Chester and we loved them all. The area the house is in is lovely too and has a great park 5 minutes walk from the house. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to return some time

SA,

We stayed at this lovely house for our second time and will be back again. Great quiet area with parking for at least two cars, very clean and had everything we needed. The walk into Chester is lovely along the canal and the local restaurants are superb. Thank you Deborah for all your help
